That science article observed that Quantum mechanics  disturbed  many people by stating that all our conscious act would boil down to  nothing more than the consequence of chance.

Faced with this quandry, a kind of strange paradoxical situation one might well ask as Einstein did  what the hell in heaven's name  is going on  here anyway?

Things that happen more often are likely to be the things that have more ways of  happening. This simply means probability is as much a shaper of things as gravity.

Let me come to the concluding part of my notes:

Before Quantum mechanics came along Physicists from Newton's time onward held that the behaviour of planets and presumably of people is well could be calculated if only one had enough information.

But this neat and certain universe of Newton's made people little more cogs in the grand machine with little choice about their actions and no responsibility for the consequences.

This it posed problems,  disturbing questions for the behaviour in the notion of free will
