Concluding part of the story of the Happiness multiplier a term i have coined

THOUGH the hut was reduced to ashes by the fire  poor man's spirit was not shaken and in no time he rebuilt it with renewed vigour and sheer hard work. The boy was the witness to watch  this miracle and he was amazed by the way in which his father reinvented his work ethics and relied on his only capital physical strength ie the labour power.

Having been a witness to the tenacity and inordinate capacity to wotk as also love the humanity the young boy was determined to take his dad as a role model.ie he decided to study well get into a good job and also render service to the society.

His countrymen eventually elevated him to the position position of the President of the country. All these happened on account of a simple smile springing from  the beautiful face of one girl..

This was the story of a 13 year old girl from Barbara Hawk told by Madan in Q &A section Aananda Vikatan dated October 19 1997.

This was an exercise for me in translation.

It was not merely a mechanical translation.. I got into author's frame and mind and added further refinement without wounding or offending the spirit of the write up
