Mrs. .Parvathi, aged 80, who
Incidentally happens to be
Mother of late prabhakaran of
Elam Tamil struggle fame
Was not allowed to disembark
At Chennai airport
Despite the fact that
She had valid visa for
Medical treatment
By the Indian High Commission in Kualalampur.
She merited Media Attention.
Thanks to one Mr. R.Karuppan
Who filed a petition
Pleading for her treatment
Which was her entitlement.
Sending her back, without allowing her
To touch the Chennai soil
Was a sheer atrocity
Which no saner individual would
Ever have attempted to do.
He said rightly,
It was a barbaric act
And opposed to the rule of law
The constitution and
The U.N. charter on Human Rights
A nation fond of showcasing
Its generosity and benevolence in
Treating the people from Pakistan
Which is triggering terrorist attacks on our soil,
Denying access to our medical facility
To an aged lady of Tamil origin
Is a slap on Indian culture.

sir,
i do agree with you, though her son might have plotted the death of our PM. its he who should be punished not his mother, which is inhuman and an act done as if we are not human.
Why did she get a visa in KL, Malaysia when she lives in Sri Lanka? What happeneed to the mission in Colombo which is the one that should be giving her a visa. In reality she can get treatment in Colombo itself. I think this is more of a message by the Indian government to Mahinda Rajapaksha telling him that he cant send over Sri Lankan citizens of Tamil origin back to India and then close the gates forever on them. Because he does have that idea as part of his reconciliation. Tamils go back to India if you want or remain here under Sinhala rule.
