Cyber intimacy:we cannot blame the machine for human folly

The cyber world provides an option to fall in love without actually falling in love. This is not to suggest that internet based love or friendship lacks any long term relationship and or devoid of any sentimental touch.
Real love is not founded by gathering or exchanging information or building up database so as to match the reciprocity of material benefits and interests. It is about emotions, feelings ,heart and mind. Regardless of the platform from which love springs what matters most is that there must be deep and abiding friendship, fondness and likeness toward each other, independent of personal preferences and prejudices and political attitudes.

If the focus of attention is on short term casual sexual encounter or seeking a virtual pleaure, cyber intimacy becomes a manipulative mechanism and tend to become exploitative. The weakness of the disadvantaged sex is taken advantage of on a rainy day and the affair will be easily forgotten once the weather has cleared. We cannot blame the machine for human folly.

Marriage is not a simple poetry or a beautiful prose as pre marital days are. Once united the couple must confront so many daily challenges tolerate each other smell and sounds including the bodily limitations, working /earning potentials and more important the patience and perseverance to accept the other  as a long term partner.

Culturally we are still a conservative society and marriage as an institution still thrives with more assertion by the women who have become more independent. It will be childish to go for divorce for silly reasons thinking that there is a long queue waiting for them to fill the gap left behind by the previous partner.
