How could I smell and get the sounds of Toronto without seeing it

In the last few days I had been sharing a lot of nature’s beauty to my FB friends .AS I was mesmerized by the colour and shade of trees and flowers and the landscape I felt  that i  must share although i was misallocating time as china’s devaluation write up was demanding my attention.
At that time I had no clue that I would be writing something about Toranto -the city of colurs.Havnig had a chance to visit Paris –the city of Romance, perfume and wine let me spare some time to translate what someone else felt about Toronto  which he or she  preferred to call the city of colours. The experience was narrated in an obscure Tamil weekly or fortnightly. Instantly i remembered my MIM boy who is more of a friend than  a  student who lives in Canada now.
At the time of Typing I also remember one supreme court Judge of Canada who befriended me when he was at Pondicherry and kind enough to  oblige to my  request to  deliver a lecture at Pondicherry university when  I was heading the department around 2008 .It is always not that easy to bring the original flavour while translating into  a foreign tongue from our native language

Long ago not so long ago  when I  happened to walk in the streets of  Toronto  in a  severe winter – a rare privilege only a few would get, its sense of alienation and exclusiveness  virtually intimidated me. But today it has registered in my mind as the City Of colours.
