In Lolita Novel,
A character recollects his
Father’s mischief with the opposite sex
He had light heartedly taken
Advantage of her on one rainy day
And forgotten it by the time
The weather cleared
I quote from memory these lines.
There,
There could have been a
Mutual consent,
To seek reciprocal gratification
And enjoy a momentary bliss
By travelling on an unexplored territory
Resulting in bliss and harmony to both.
Here, when you people were hurt
On that summer day,
You had nobody to complain to,
Nobody to consult.
Even the best friend kept
A healthy distance,
And didn’t come to your rescue
To listen to your emotive feelings
That was a kind of rape
A gang rape on academic honesty
Virtue and integrity.
The victims cannot and
Should not forget
To unmask those faces
At an opportune time.
That day will come.
