Life of a Dog with ripe Coconut in his Mouth: Ancient poetry revisited

While the organisation goes to dogs

The chairman thrives and survives at personal level

The superiors at the helm of affairs at the micro level

Also never bother to guide and goad

The co-workers to fruitful deeds,

For reasons known to themselves

These dead woods need to be removed

As it becomes a ‘dead weight loss’

To the society at large, benifiting none.

Shakti, do you recall an

Ancient tamil poem we learnt at school:

A dog posessing a ripe coconut,

Not knowing the methodology of

Break opening it to eat ,

Just rolls over it, and kicks it

Let me go beyond the interpretation of the poetry .

The inability of the dog to enjoy,

Doesn’t harm anyone.

Save the resource malallocation

But the ability of the chairman

To roll in luxury and appropriate resources

For personal glory and ‘survival’ by

Depleting resources

Paralyzing the administration

Encouraging divisive politics

Looting the exchequre

And terrorize the very environiment

Fanning the spark of hate ,

With a typical litigant’s spirit

Just vitiates the atmosphere

While the silent majority suffer ,

A few devoid of ethics and morality

Benefit , exploiting the chaos.

Dogs are more faithful .

They do not cause more mishchief

We can only envy the dogs.
