The hero of our Valluvar, the author of the Kural is deeply in love: it is not just an ordinary love, nor is it about the lust towards the body – its structure or its sound, a simple pedestal animal pleasure or a coronal pleasure. It is really a divine and psychic love. “My friendship with this beautiful damsel is just like (or more akin to) he relationship between the body and the life source (soul)” the lover says.
He tells the eye lens (Eye ball), “Please go away . I want to replace you by placing my lover there.”
Once this is accomplished, he is in a different world and says, “My Dear, I am the Eye and You are the Eyeball. You are my real visual media .My Eye is always looking at you and through You, My eye always sees.”
