The positive fallout of waking up at 3:30 am and not going to bed again was that I stumbled upon a letter, written by one my MIM students some five of six years ago. I want to post his letter in the blog for many reasons the principle one being, to reach him. Will not by strange quirk of fate, he be united with us since all of us are floating around the internet. Now, his letter.
“Dear Sir,
My association with you, and my own life taught me a few lessons which I would like to share with my juniors in the international studies programme.
Never lose your integrity
Believe in God and yourself
Know what you want to do in life and work towards it.
There is nothing more important than your good health
With your blessing I am in the number one school I the United States for the Industrial and Labor Relations Programme. I should be graduating in December 2006 with a specialization in Human Resource and Organization and minor in collective bargaining. This degree would be a stepping stone for a good career in the U.S or anywhere in the world. At this point I am content with what God has given me even though he tested my patience quite a bit.
I am happy to share with you that I am visiting India for two or three weeks between August 10th and 28th. I will definitely call you and talk to you during my stay. Please excuse me for my bad hand writing. But I wanted to write it in my own hand to give it a personal touch and not just type a brief mail.
With warm regards,
Srivatsava

Dear Dr.Sambandhan,
I am really touched by the fact that you retained my letter for so long and a great coincidence that Kingsley and I got a chance to discuss about you. Sounds like we are destined to continue our relationship for the rest of our lives.
We can keep in touch through my email id sgorthy@gmail.com.
With best wishes,
Srivatsava
